Northwest Wildlife Preservation Society (NWPS) is a
non-profit environmental education organization based
in downtown Vancouver. The Society is seeking the
services of a Part-time Wildlife Educator to assist with
the Education component of the day to day operations of
the organization. NWPS activities include environmental
education and stewardship projects. This position reports
directly to the Executive Director and requires a
committed, mature and resourceful individual who has
an excellent background in environmental and wildlife
issues, and is an excellent presenter.

Job Responsibilites:

* Deliver environmental education programs to K to 12
school aged children, adults and special interest groups
* Assist with the development and maintenance of education programs
* Assist with the delivery of Stewardship projects
* Assist the Education & Communications Coordinator
with other duties when necessary

Required Qualifications:

* Academic background in education, environmental
education, natural sciences, geography, or related field
of studies, or an acceptable combination of education
and work experience.
* At least 2 years experience doing presentations to
large audiences.
* Applicants must have an enthusiastic interest in
preserving wildlife and wildlife habitat, as well as
general knowledge of issues and current events related
to wildlife in BC.
* Applications should be skilled in the use of computers
and have excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office 2000.

Additional Requirements:

* Must have exceptional interpersonal, presentation,
and verbal and writing communication skills
* Must be adaptable, outgoing, creative and self-starter
* Must possess a valid BC driver's license and vehicle
* Criminal record clearance required
