JOB SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

o Participate in the operation of our pilot Biodiesel facility
at UBC which will include the following: testing waste
vegetable oil, assisting with the running of the plant,
cleaning and maintenance, as well as reporting functions;
o Assist in the training of interested Biodiesel operators
across BC which will include helping to develop a training
curriculum;
o Assist in the assembly of the portable Biodiesel system;
o Conduct research to build a library of information related
to Biodiesel;
o Maintain the Biodiesel website including adding content
and information specific to Biodiesel when requested by
clients; and
o Add results of your work to project website (5% of time
max on web maintenance).

Statement of Qualifications

The candidate should have an environmental, economics,
business, science or applied science background. The
candidate should be able to write technical reports, be
numerate and use excel, and understand basic business
processes. The candidate must be computer literate and
able to communicate effectively with clients and other
sensitive project contacts.

* Creating a Biodiesel production training curriculum

REQUIREMENTS - NO EXCEPTIONS)

Unemployed Invidividuals:

- who established a claim for Employment Insurance (EI)
benefits; or
- whose EI benefit period ended within the last three (3)
years; or
- who established and was paid a claim for EI maternity
or parental benefits within the past six (6) years.

- Preference will be given to youths (under 30) as EYA is
a youth organization.

The pay for all positions is $ 413 / week, for up to 26
weeks (or until you find another job).

You are allowed 4 hours a week for job searching and are
encouraged to look for work during the program.
