Position: Public Relations Account Executive / Idea Partner

Grey Worldwide Northwest is a full-service communications agency based in Vancouver. We act as idea partners with our clients, providing a range of communications services including Public Relations, Advertising, Design and Interactive.

Our PR Team offers media relations, community relations, event co-ordination and issues management support to an array of clients including: Starbucks Coffee Company, Warner Bros. Pictures, Pacific Blue Cross, Coast Mental Health, Joeys Restaurants, BC Used Oil Management Association, Cadillac Fairview, CruiseShipCentres and Fido.

We are looking for an idea partner that is passionate about communications to join our PR team. The PR Account Executive is responsible for providing day-to-day support and strategic ideas to our clients.

The PR Account Executive takes the lead on projects, communicates strategically with clients and is able to multi-task. The position requires a self-motivated person that can work autonomously, while remaining an integral part of the team. The PR account executive must be able to perform well under pressure and prioritize tasks according to clients’ needs.


Qualifications and Experience:
• Undergraduate Degree in Communications/Marketing/Business/Arts
• Minimum 2-5 years of PR experience
• Strong writing skills and experience developing media materials and press kits
• Ability to pitch media proactively and obtain favourable coverage for products/programs
• Ability to staff interviews and prepare spokespeople
• Ability to build strong media relationships
• Event co-ordination experience
• Ability to create media summaries and coverage evaluation reports
• Issues/crisis management experience is advantageous
